We started PROOF in 2015 to provide strategic capital to a group of GP’s that we have invested with for nearly 16 years. As early-stage investors, we experienced the feeling of our pro rata and ownership just evaporating into the ether in our best companies. As companies are staying private longer and raising more money in venture rounds, the issue is only getting more acute. PROOF solves this issue for our network of GP’s.

As an operator, I would want to know that my earliest investors – the true believers – could stay with me and on my board as long as possible. By providing this capital to our network of GP’s, PROOF is enabling just that. While I spent nearly 16 years making direct early-stage investments – being that true believer – and working with world-class, revolutionary founders, I feel that my impact can now be much greater by enabling our network of GP’s to continue that work but on a much broader scale.

There has never been a better time to start a business and I am thrilled to be involved with what continues to be the growth engine of the American economy.
