PETER HARRISON
Peter Harrison is the Founder and General Partner of Sand Hill Capital, a fund dedicated to social and environmental impact investing. He is also an operating executive with Marlin Equity Partners and serves as a board trustee at George Washington University, where he chairs the ESG taskforce. He currently sits on numerous technology boards and collaborates with various venture capital and private equity firms, advising them on new investments and M&A.
In 2013, Peter became CEO of Snagajob, a marketplace for hourly workers with over 60 million users. During his tenure, he recapitalized the business and grew software revenues tenfold over five years. From 2001 to 2011, Peter served as CEO of GlobalLogic, a technology service firm. Under his leadership, the company grew from fewer than 20 employees to over 6,000, attracting investments from NEA, Sequoia Capital, and Goldman Sachs, and acquiring five companies. GlobalLogic was acquired by Apax in 2013, resulting in over a 10x return on capital.
In 1996, Peter joined Versata, an early-stage technology start-up in the Bay Area. He increased revenues 60-fold in four years, leading to an IPO in 2000, which was ranked as the 25th biggest opening of all time. In 1990, Peter co-founded Seer Technologies, an IBM-backed spin-off from CSFB, where he was working at the time. He played a crucial role in growing the company’s international business to over $120 million, leading to its IPO in 1995.
Over his career, Peter has raised $400 million in both public and private markets, resulting in the creation of companies with a combined market value exceeding $8 billion.
